We are holding our “Pet Art & Woodcraft Creative Workshop” again on 16 June 2019, Sunday from 2pm to 5pm at Studio Studio MU / YU, a woodworking space in Katong. This time, we will devote an hour to making the wood picture frame with Lyn, who will teach the basics of woodworking, including sanding, staining, nailing and assembling the frame. It is embellished with a choice of dog or cat ears and tail (let us know your choice during booking).
After that, I will guide the participants to draw and paint their cat’s or dog’s portrait using watercolour and acrylic paint, and show them easy techniques like wet on wet and the tracing method to achieve this bold illustrative look. Everyone will bring home their pet artwork encased in the wood frame. Created for animal lovers in Singapore and those who are keen to try woodcraft and illustration, this 3-hour creative workshop is great fun during the June school holidays!
